ABOUT DECKHOUSE
A new fully equity funded company offering an all day & evening cafe & bar brand, in the coffee to cocktails sector. High quality fit out, fresh food, craft & independent drinks.
Serving affluent under serviced quality market towns & suburbs in the south of England, home counties and southern Midlands. So geography West London to Bristol and South of Birmingham.
Initially developing 2 sites in 2022, 3-4 sites in 2023 with a target of 18 sites within 5 years. Initial funding of £2.0m is in place.

Our prices are accessible but customers can trade up to premium.
DIRECTORS & MANAGEMENT
The Deckhouse team are highly experienced hospitality operators & have the necessary full suite of experience, skills and track record of successfully building, growing and profitably exiting businesses in the hospitality sector.
Mark McQuater
Chairman
Former CEO Revolution Bars Group PLC – he grew the business and led the successful IPO of the company. He was the 1st Managing Director of JD Wetherspoon plc before founding a successful new bar company Barracuda Group – which grew to over 200 branches – he successfully sold the business for £262m. He is currently NX Chairman of PE backed Leisure operator Roxy Leisure.
Tom Cullen
Property Director
Former Director of Property at PE backed Barracuda Group, Tom has held senior positions in Mitchell’s and Butler (M &B) and Greenalls Pub and Restaurant Division. He has overseen & inspired over 100 new build and design projects in the sector. He currently owns his own sector focussed property consultancy com-pany. He has extensive property market contacts & will be responsible for identifying and efficiently constructing new sites.
Dominic Doherty
Operations Director
Dom is an experienced bar and restaurant operations professional he’s held management positions in both the fast-growing Revolution de Cuba part of the Revolution group plc and the Ivy Cafe where he was responsible for Southern operations out-side of London.
Nick Morgan
Finance Director
Nick is a highly experienced CFO who has previously been finance director of Ladbrokes, CFO of Barracuda Group and a CFO of Port Haven Care Homes. The latter two were fast-growing private equity businesses that success- fully exited.
DECKHOUSE PROPERTY SPECIFICATION
Style will be fresh & cool zoned spaces with a buzzy atmosphere throughout the day and evening and plenty of comfort.

- ideally current A3/A4 operations or class E sui generis in new classification or easy conversions from other type E.
TARGET TOWNS
Target towns with more than 20,000 people or higher quality smaller dems.
Attractions for a target town would be in an invested prosperous town or suburb and include 2 or more branded casual dining operators including a (Giggling Squid/Cote/Pizza Express/Ivy /Bills/Boston tea party/Hub box) perhaps one or two quality pub operators.
Towns would have premium retailers (boutique/ Waitrose/M&S/Bang &Olufsen) quality offices & residential in walking distance. One or more branded coffee operators.
We would also be looking for a pavement license opportunity or courtyard terrace.
